# TierUp

> TierUp is a free Shopify app that adds quantity-break ("buy more, save more") pricing to any store — with no percentage cut of the merchant's sales, ever.

TierUp lets Shopify merchants set per-unit prices that drop as shoppers buy more (for example: 1 for $50, 3 for $45 each, 6 for $40 each). The discount applies automatically at checkout using native Shopify Functions, and a live "buy X more to save $Y per unit" nudge appears on the product page to encourage larger orders. The goal is to raise a store's average order value (AOV).

## Key facts
- Price: Free forever. No revenue cap and no percentage of sales.
- Platform: Shopify (Basic, Shopify, Advanced, and Plus plans).
- How it works: Uses Shopify's native discount Functions at checkout — not draft orders — so Google Analytics 4, Meta Pixel, Shop Pay, and Apple Pay keep working.
- Fulfilment-safe: Adjusts the price of existing line items only. It does not create synthetic "bundle" SKUs, so 3PL, warehouse, and inventory sync are unaffected.
- Setup: Add one theme app block to the product page (no theme code or developer required), then create per-product tier rules in the embedded admin.

## What it is not
- Not a bundles, BOGO, gift, or build-a-box suite — it does quantity-break pricing only, on purpose.
- Does not yet support full multi-currency (Shopify Markets presentment); it works per store base currency.
- No percentage-based tiers yet (fixed per-unit prices only).
